The first step to being able to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via an Authenticator App is to download a 3rd-party application of your choice. Finding the right application can be done with a quick search on the internet. Some popular examples are:
- GOOGLE AUTHENTICATOR
- MICROSOFT AUTHENTICATOR
Alternatively, enabling your 2FA can also be done via Email.
Once your Authenticator App has been downloaded, login to your EmpowerFX account and start by:
- Accessing the SETTINGS tab.
- Click on ENABLE 2FA VIA AUTHENTICATOR APP.
- Scan the QR CODE on your Authenticator App and enter the 6-digit key in the required field.
- Click on SUBMIT.
IMPORTANT – If you are unable to scan the QR code, click on UNABLE TO SCAN and enter the code manually on your Authenticator App.
When everything has been set up, you will receive a notification at the top of your account to confirm that your 2FA has been enabled!
